Sponsorship Information
Aviation is of interest to the public. Americans, your customers, have always marveled at aerobatics and those crazy young men in their flying machines. Actually, the aerobatic pilot demographic is not young and certainly not crazy. It is very broad consisting of working and retired men and women generally 20 to 75 years of age. They are predominantly higher income and professional. The group includes decision makers in many walks of life. Such a group certainly provides exciting and effective marketing concepts to the right business. This letter of introduction is for the purpose of soliciting selected businesses to look at IAC Chapter 19 and consider becoming its promotional partner.
The next event will be the 1st Annual Carolina Boogie contest in Lumberton, NC hosted by IAC Chapter 19, a non-profit North Carolina Corporation. It will be held at the Lumberton Municipal Airport on April 25 thru 27, 2008. There are three days of practice prior to the three days of competition. It is important to note this is not an air show! For insurance and sanctioning reasons, it cannot be promoted to the public; however, the venue is public and therefore the public can certainly be onsite.
The contest is fully sanctioned by the IAC, International Aerobatic Club, a division of the EAA, Experimental Aircraft Association. This national organization is the host of the annual aviation exposition at Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Lakeland Florida’s Sun-n-Fun. These are both premier, world-class aviation events. The IAC promotes and fosters sport aerobatics within the organization. Please visit EAA and IAC websites, www.eaa.org and www.iac.org, respectively, for complete information on these organizations.
IAC sanctioned contests are held across America annually; however the Chapter 19 contests are unique among most others. The Chapter 19 contest lies in the central eastern United States, which attracts competitors from both the North and South East. Most competitors find it hard to travel out of the region but with our location it gives one contest where competitors can go head to head without traveling great distances.
IAC19 has a very attractive website, www.iac19.org, that receives many worldwide hits each day along with an award winning monthly newsletter and t-shirts worn throughout the year at many locations. Starting in 2008, an IAC19 calendar with photos taken at events during the previous year will be developed. All of these offer a great opportunity for promotion.
Can you be our partner? We are offering specific sponsorships, and suggest that a commitment be made for one year. We expect that a contest sponsor would exploit the advantage of association with the exciting world of aerobatics. A successful marketing plan might include promoting your association with the contest thru local media, the IAC national magazine, national mailing (email) lists, and through personal association with our strong demographic of competitors and judges.
