IAC19 was formed in 1982 by aerobatic pilots in North Carolina. Our chapter has grown to include aerobatics enthusiasts from both Carolinas, west Tennessee and southern Virginia. Our membership includes non-pilots, beginners to aerobatics as well as members of national Advanced and Unlimited teams; the only requirement to join IAC19 is an interest in aerobatics.
IAC19 meetings take place monthly April-October from10-2 at the Lumberton Municipal Airport (KLBT) in Lumberton, North Carolina. No meetings are held in the cooler months from November-March. Our newsletter, The Dixie Acro Flyer, covers IAC19 activities and other aerobatics-related topics. Each year we hold our annual aerobatics contests, the spring Carolina Boogie and the fall Mason-Dixon Clash, attracting competitors from as far as Chicago, south Alabama and Florida.
The Officers of IAC19 welcome you to attend our next meeting and see for yourself why aerobatics is a challenging and fun activity, and to meet all the great people who enjoy this sport. We're sure you'll want to join IAC19!
